Having the correct temperature of the boiling water is much essential to the making of the green tea. Having the right water temperature when drinking tea makes the tea sweet not to mention the sweets that accompany it.
Green tea can be drunk daily. Day in and day out. But when it comes down to taste, the slightest difference makes a great difference. The different grades of green tea gives a different taste. Not so bitter. But the water always remains sweet.
There is a lot of ways of making green tea but there’s only one. Joining a tea ceremony and you will find out there’s only one way. Not many, but one…and there’s many rituals that accompanies it. Such as the cleaning of the utensils. The water have to be purified, by boiling it in giant jars. And during the ritual, the tea bowl is already cleansed.
Putting the right amount of green tea powder in is by itself a great knowledge. Not too much or not too little. It is just like making Milo. Just the right amount. Nothing too much or nothing too little. The grade of the tea powder does not have to be very good. Just a ordinary brand will do. As found in all japanese ,supaa, or supermarkets as it is known. They comes in metal jars or tinned form as you can imagined. Small tinned forms of green tea powder. The type of the tea goes higher as the grade goes higher. The quality goes higher.
The tea utensils don’t have to be top grade as well . Just the normal, run of the mill types will do. You don’t need a top grade bowl or stirrer. Or one that takes the tea powder out of the tea container. Dress wise, you just dress normally, there’s no prerequisite. But if the push comes to shove, maybe.
As all water is sweet, you will come to taste the water are so. Not that green tea is.
